Christina Barr
About
Christina Barr, M.Ed., BCBA is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Teacher of the Deaf. She received her bachelors in Special Education in 2005, her master's in Special Education in 2008, and her BCBA in 2014. She has been in the field of Special Education for over 20 years.
Christina is Deaf and grew up oral in Dayton, OH. She was introduced to American Sign Language and the Deaf Community in college. Her passion is to bridge together the field of Applied Behavior Analysis and Deaf Education.
She currently is a preschool teacher for a classroom of students who are DHH. She is a member of the 'Connecting the Spectrum" a a non profit groups of BCBA in the field of Deaf Education. She is on the board for a non-profit professional group "Deaf Education Ohio." Christina volunteers her time to coach soccer, chaperone field trips, and work with students in the summer.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son, their three cats, ball python and crested gecko. She enjoys reading, swimming, and getting her butt kicked in Fit Body Bootcamp. Her dream is to write a children's book with D/deaf characters.
